This Bedford CA, effectionally known as Bertie came into the workshop to be inspected to access the work required to get it running and through an MoT.
Further information on this project will be updated soon.
The Bedford CA was produced from 1952 until 1969 by Vauxhall Motors’ subsidiary, Bedford Vehicles of Luton. The model was supplied either as a light van with sliding doors, or as a chassis to which a variety of specialist bodies could be fitted, allowing the humble Bedford CA to be transformed into ice cream vans, ambulances and many other incarnations. The Dormobile Motorhome first appeared in 1957 and is now considered a design icon of its era.
